• Confirmation of booking should be asked to the Kyoto Univ. CO-OP. HBES2008, Convention Department , not directly to the hotels above or to us.
• Above rates are per person, including service charge and sales tax.
• Above rates are CO-OP special rates. Rates may change if you make reservations directly to the hotels.
• Cancellation charge
  Up to two days prior to the first night : no charge
  One day prior to the first night : 20%
  On the day of the first night : 80%
  Cancel without notice : 100%

If you are to reserve accommodation for yourself, try to reserve rooms as early as possible; June is relatively off-season, but Kyoto still attract a lot of travelers and it is safer to start arrangement early. Kyoto is a great Japanese tourist center, thus the venue has many and various accommodation options.

Fashionable hotels; 12,000 Yen~ (single)
Economy hotels; 4,500 Yen~ (single)  with standard equipment
Hostels/Guesthouses/dorms; 2,000 Yen~ (per person)

• If you are to use bus from your hotel rooms to the venue, check the bus route map thoroughly (2007 ver. 2008 ver.). Many courses are running in loop and the buses of the same number (ex. #203, #17) go to the both direction and you have to distinguish the direction by the bus stop location and the destination board.
• Bus service densely covers main parts of Kyoto and very useful. However, its pitfall is that they do not have many services at evening and several routes finish service relatively early. Therefore, we recommend that you find accommodation near to both bus stations and a train station (Keihan Railway or Karasuma subway line).
